This community service activity (PKM) aims to strengthen literacy and develop social character among Sunday school children and youth in the environment of Huria Kristen Batak Protestan congregation HKBP Nomensen Jl. Cemara. Churches as religious institutions have a strategic role not only in spiritual development but also in fostering literacy skills and shaping the character of the younger generation. This program was implemented using an educational and participatory approach that actively involved Sunday school children and youth as participants. The implementation method consisted of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The activities carried out included teaching Sunday school, organizing “Minggu Ceria” (Joyful Sunday) activities, basic reading and writing instruction, basic English learning, and socialization on literacy and social character in the digital era. The activities were conducted through interactive learning methods such as storytelling, group discussions, educational games, and creative activities that encouraged active participation from participants. The results of the program indicate that participants showed high enthusiasm in participating in all activities. The program had a positive impact on improving children's basic literacy skills, particularly in reading and writing, as well as increasing their learning motivation. In addition, collaborative activities helped foster teamwork, communication skills, and social awareness among participants. The digital literacy socialization also provided participants with an understanding of the importance of using technology and social media wisely. Overall, this PKM activity demonstrates that the church can function as a platform for youth development that not only focuses on spiritual aspects but also strengthens literacy and social character. Collaboration between higher education institutions and churches is expected to continue developing in order to support the formation of a knowledgeable, well-characterized generation capable of facing challenges in the digital era.
