Abstract

This community service program was carried out by Siloam Theological Seminary within the youth community of the Gereja Suara Kebenaran Injil (GKSI) Agave Congregation in Lubuk Pakam, with the aim of strengthening youth spiritual maturity through mentoring based on the pastoral model of exemplary leadership in 1 Timothy 4:12. The program employed a community-organizing approach with a participatory design (PAR/CBPR), integrating theological formation, spiritual mentoring, small-group discipleship, and the reinforcement of spiritual disciplines.The mentoring outcomes indicate changes in youth behavior and community culture toward more stable spiritual growth, including increased responsibility in ministry service, more constructive communication, and the establishment of small-group structures as a sustainable formation system. This initiative is further strengthened by supporting research findings demonstrating a positive relationship between pastoral exemplarity and youth spiritual maturity (ryx = 0.875), with a coefficient of determination of 86.9%. Thus, this community service program produced both personal spiritual transformation and broader socio-communal change, evidenced by the emergence of local youth leaders and a more consistent discipleship culture.
